Rather than going to the south end of the COG area of interest, we'll go to the northwest. We'll meet at 7.45 am sharp at the Uriarra Crossing car park immediately on the far side of the river crossing (far side with respect to Canberra). We'll do some car pooling before heading off to the Wee Jasper region, doing a series of 20-minute surveys within defined COG grids. Please bring drinks, lunch, binoculars, clipboard, hat and your sense of humour. The group will be limited to 15 people, so those interested please let Alistair Bestow know (6281 1481). The roads are suitable for 2WD as well as 4WD, but it may be best if you leave the low-slung sports car at home for the day. Data sheets and GPS units will be supplied.
