Report - Campbell Park (29 January 2000)

This twilight walk took place on a dullish evening with increasingly strong wind and not the best conditions for birdwatching or bird-listening. A total of 26 species was noted, including such old favourites as Common Bronzewing and Sacred Kingfisher (nesting). There was no sign of the White-browed Woodswallows this year. However, four species which I do not think I had personally observed on earlier visits were Crested Pigeon; Leaden Flycatcher; Mistletoebird; and Grey Currawong. 17 members participated; and my thanks go to Carole and Ivan Thompson for helping to keep the list.
