Detail - Lyrebirds at Tidbinbilla (Sun 8 July 2001)

Have you heard a single 'Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoo'and 'Red Wattlebird' calling from a bush 3-4 metres away? Well this may be your opportunity. David McDonald has agreed to lead this popular annual excursion to Tidbinbilla, with the express purpose of identifying and listening to the many and varied calls of the Lyrebird. It is essential to book a place, limited to 15 people, with Alistair Bestow (6281 1481) by Thursday 5 July. Meet David at 9.00am at the gates of Tidbinbilla (the usual entry fee to the Reserve will apply), for a morning out. Bring binoculars, raincoats and morning tea for afterwards.
