Richard Allen (6282 5785) will lead this excursion in order to give the owls one more chance to have their presence recorded in the Birds Australia Atlas!!! (They can hoot all they like after that - but they won’t get into the Atlas!!) Please meet Richard at 8.00pm at Uriarra Homestead on Uriarra Road. We’ll car pool and head up to Piccadilly Circus in the Brindabellas, and Atlas along the Franklin Dam Road, Bendora Dam Road and Two Sticks Road.
It is sure to be at least as exciting as last time in July, when Greater Gliders and an Owlet Nightjar were heard. (The more observant amongst you will have noticed that a Greater Glider is not actually a bird, and so did not qualify to get into the Atlas.) Come along - it is sure to be fun.
