COG is planning a 3-4 weeks tour to Namibia (fly into Windhoek) and the Okavango Delta, including Etosha NP and Chobe NP, finishing in Victoria Falls.
Namibia is still a sparsely settled place with a number of interesting reserves in the desert, savanna and coastal areas; the Okavango Delta and Chobe River floodplain in Botswana are well known for rich and varied birds and wildlife, and lots of bird endemics.
This tour will be with our friends Mark and Jean Caulton from Pelican Safaris who have looked after us so well on our other African trips. Bus travel, 12 people max, fully accommodated (2 sharing a room) in lodges and cottages, and most meals included - cost to be determined, but in the ballpark of $3500 plus airfare.
We already have expressions of interest against the available 12 places, however, additional interest is welcome in the event that someone does not go ahead with a booking. Draft intinerary and estimated costing should be available later in the year; then bookings must be confirmed with a $400 deposit.
