Alex McLachlan has kindly offered to lead an outing to his 450 acre property that adjoins the Mundoonen range near Yass. Common local birds include Hooded Robin, Brown Treecreeper and Diamond Firetail. In 2008, Alex reported seeing Stubble Quail, Painted Button-quail and Little Button-quail at the same time within one hectare!
